When to implement Lockout Tagout?
Danger area:
An area within three dimensions of the equipment (the equipment protection has been removed, or within the perimeter guardrail) where damage may result from the movement of equipment energy or parts or materials.
No “Lockout tagout” operation is required
Normal production operation
Routine work, repeated flow work
Wire and plug operation
Only a single energy source;
Within the control of one arm of the person and within a separate continuous control.
Everyone, before entering the dangerous area of the equipment, must isolate and lock the energy!
