The so-called “Lockout and tagout” operation refers to the practice of installing single lock or collective lock and hanging label identification through the starting point of the power line and process pipe network that is being repaired and maintained, so as to prevent the accidental release of dangerous energy such as current and oil and gas from causing personal injury or property loss due to misoperation.
The procedure of Lockout and tagout includes five steps: identification, isolation, locking, confirmation and test. Identification, i.e., identification of all sources of hazardous energy and materials before Lockout and tagout; Isolation, that is, to identify the dangerous energy isolation point and type; Locking, i.e. selecting appropriate Lockout and tagout according to the isolation list; Confirm that all hazardous materials are removed from the site and hazardous energy has been isolated; Testing, that is, confirming that hazardous energy or materials are isolated and communicated.
In the maintenance process, the “Lockout and tagout” work of the 1608 and 1611 lines that are repaired at the same time with the 1606 line is implemented by the person in charge of the maintenance work of each line. The line is always in Lockout and Tagout state. The key is kept by the person in charge of line maintenance. After the maintenance work of each line is finished and the system is confirmed to meet the operation requirements, the person in charge of the maintenance work of each line will unlock it respectively. After all unlocking, the chief maintenance officer confirmed again and resumed power supply at 16:00.
