Hydraulic press -Lockout tagout

The following are examples of lockout tagout cases: An industrial worker is assigned to repair a hydraulic press in a manufacturing plant. Before commencing repair work, workers follow lockout-tagout procedures to ensure their safety. Workers first identify all sources of energy to power the hydraulic press, including electrical power and hydraulic oil supply. They also identify all stored energy in a press, such as pressure in a hydraulic system. Next, workers isolate all energy sources by cutting power and closing all fluid valves. They also drain hydraulic oil and relieve any residual pressure in the system. Workers then apply lock-out tags to each energy source and to the press itself. These devices include padlocks, tags and covers to prevent anyone from accidentally restarting the device. They also notified other workers that maintenance work was taking place. After ensuring that all lock-out tags were properly secured, workers began repair work. They replace faulty parts, check all other parts for wear, and clean presses. After the repair work was complete, workers removed all lock-out and tag-out devices and reconnected all energy sources. They also test the printing press to make sure it is working properly. This lock-out, tag-out box keeps workers safe from unintentional start-up of hydraulic presses and keeps hydraulic presses running safely after repair work is complete.
