Electrical maintenance work

Electrical maintenance work
1 Operation Risk
Electric shock hazards, electric arc hazards, or spark accidents caused by short circuit may occur during electrical maintenance, which may cause human injuries such as electric shock, burn caused by electric arc, and explosion and impact injury caused by electric arc. In addition, electrical accidents may cause fire, explosion and power failure and other hazards.
2 Safety Measures
(1) Before the maintenance operation, contact the operator to cut off the power supply connected with the equipment, and take locking measures, and hang an eye-catching sign of “No closing, someone working” on the switch box or the main gate.
(2) All those working on or near live equipment need to apply for the Work Permit and carry out the License Management Procedure.
(3) Operators should wear labor protection products as required (in line with the “Requirements for Personal Protective Equipment at Work in substation”), and be familiar with the work content, especially the opinions signed by the operators.
(4) Electrical operations can only be completed by qualified personnel with more than two people, one of whom is responsible for supervision.
(5) Electrical monitoring personnel must pass professional training, obtain the post qualification certificate, and be qualified to cut off the power supply of the equipment and start the alarm signal; Prevent irrelevant personnel from entering dangerous areas during operation; No other work tasks are allowed.
(6) During maintenance and troubleshooting, no one shall arbitrarily change or adjust the set values of protection and automatic devices.
(7) Arc hazard analysis and prevention. For equipment with energy greater than 5.016J/m2, arc hazard analysis must be carried out to ensure safe and effective work.
(8) For the process or system prone to static electricity in maintenance, electrostatic hazard analysis should be carried out, and corresponding measures and procedures should be developed to prevent electrostatic hazards.
(9) Metal ladders, chairs, stools and so on can not be used in electrical work occasions.
